HOTEL ROOM EXPANSION AND UPGRADES FOR ANTICIPATED VISITOR BOOM

SPRINGFIELD, OREGON – November 23, 2005 – Two Eugene/Springfield hotels will
undergo refurbishment and expansion over the next year to meet growing visitor demands.

The Holiday Inn Express in the Gateway area of Springfield, and the Residence Inn by
Marriott near the Ferry Street Bridge will each add 27 rooms and suites under the coordination of Sycan Development. The expansions will increase the size of the Holiday Inn Express by about 40-percent, and it will add about 25-percent more rooms to the Residence Inn by Marriott.

New businesses coming into the Gateway area, and the need to provide a wider variety
of accommodations to visitors is the thrust behind the expansion of the Holiday Inn Express
beginning in July 2006. “We strive to continually upgrade all of our hotels so that they remain
fresh and attractive to the traveler,” says Richard Boyles, President of Sycan. Upgrades to the Holiday Inn Express will include adding 24 suites and 3 luxurious hot-tub rooms, in addition to upgrading the public areas, enlarging the breakfast area and adding an exercise room by December 2006.

Expansion of the Residence Inn by Marriott will be close on its heels in August 2006,
due in part to plans to build a new federal courthouse downtown. “Demand for the Residence
Inn’s two-bedroom suites has been especially strong since that property opened in 2001,” says Pat McShane, Executive VP of Sycan’s sister company InnSight Hotel Management Group, Inc. “The two-bedroom suites are especially attractive to people relocating to the area, and for families who want the extra space of two bedrooms with a separate living room,” he says. Residence Inn by Marriott is designed to accommodate travelers staying for a week or longer. The upcoming expansion will add 12 of the popular two-bedroom suites, along with 15 studio suites, and an additional elevator on the north side of the hotel by February 2007. The work will also include renovating the existing rooms and public areas, and adding more lobby/breakfast area seating.

With the continued growth in the Gateway area and downtown Eugene, and the
possibility of a new convention center on the horizon, Sycan also has plans to add a
TownePlace Suites by Marriott and a Holiday Inn to the market in 2007. Boyles and McShane agree that continuing to provide guests with attractive and comfortable rooms, with a variety of price points and amenities is what will keep visitors coming back to the Eugene/Springfield area.
