NEW HOTEL NEAR MEDFORD AIRPORT LIFTING OFF
Medford, Oregon – The Medford area will soon have a new business-class hotel for travelers wanting to stay close to the airport. Tropria, LLC has signed a contract with two Springfield-based companies to build and manage a 140-room Courtyard by Marriott on the southeast corner of Biddle Road and Airport Road, near the Medford Jackson County Rogue Valley International Airport.

Tropria, LLC is a partnership of well-known Medford businessman Reginald Breeze, and one of the Eugene/Springfield area’s most prolific hotel developers, Richard Boyles. Boyles is the president of Sycan B Corp. which has developed three other Marriott properties in Oregon, including the Fairfield Inn & Suites in Central Point. Boyles also heads up Exeter Hospitality Associates, Inc. which will manage the new Medford Courtyard once it opens. Exeter manages all six hotels developed by Sycan, as well as contracting with existing hotels to provide management expertise.

Tropria’s airport hotel will be one of Marriott’s new Courtyard prototypes, and will include a restaurant, meeting and conference rooms, a pool and exercise room, and electronic and internet hook-ups specially designed for business travelers.

The Grand Opening is scheduled for December 2004.
