LOCAL HOTEL OPERATOR’S EMPLOYEES “CLIMB THE CORPORATE LADDER”
Exeter Hospitality Associates, Inc. of Springfield, Oregon is pleased to announce the promotion of two of its managers effective November 1, 2000.

Darren Wilson will take over as General Manager of the Courtyard by Marriott. Wilson joined Exeter in November 1998 as the Assistant General Manager of the Courtyard, and then moved into the role of GM at the Holiday Inn Express in March 1999. Wilson led the Holiday Inn Express through its conversion from a Rodeway Inn in November 1999, and has worked diligently to increase revenues and guest scores.

Wilson’s move into the GM position at Courtyard will allow the current GM Patrick McShane to move into the GM position at the soon-to-open Residence Inn in Eugene.

Julie Jones will take over Wilson’s vacated position as GM of the Holiday Inn Express. Jones joined the staff of the Courtyard by Marriott at the front desk when the property first opened in January 1997. Julie was promoted to Assistant General Manager at Courtyard in September 1999, and has been tapped for the GM job at Holiday Inn Express due to her extremely high level of dedication and focus on guest service.

Please join us in congratulating these valuable employees for their achievements. Exeter is seeking qualified individuals to fill the vacancies left by this recent rash of promotions. Both the Courtyard by Marriott and the Residence Inn are looking for Front Office Managers.

Exeter operates three hotels in the Gateway area of Springfield: the Holiday Inn Express, the Courtyard by Marriott and the Comfort Suites. Exeter is ready to open the Residence Inn by Marriott at the north end of the Ferry Street Bridge in January 2001, and plans to open the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott in Central Point, Oregon (just north of Medford) in July 2001.
