Richard Boyles
President

Mr. Boyles is co-founder of InnSight Hotel Management Group. He additionally serves as the President of Sycan Development Corporation. Since 1989 he has been engaged in the development, financing and ownership of hotel projects and other real estate development ventures. Boyles has successfully negotiated franchise agreements with Marriott International, Intercontinental Hotels Group and Choice Hotels International. Mr. Boyles is responsible for the general management and strategic direction of InnSight.

Mr. Boyles served on the Rodeway Owner’s Council from 1995 to 1997, chairing the Council in 1997. In this role, Mr. Boyles represented the interest of franchisees to Choice Hotels International, dealing with brand positioning, marketing, brand equity, and impact issues. Mr. Boyles currently serves on the board of the Convention and Visitors Association of Lane County. Past volunteer service includes terms on the board of Goodwill Industries of Lane County, the Alumni Advisory Council of the University of Oregon Honors College and various civic and community organizations.

Mr. Boyles received an MBA from Thunderbird, the Garvin School of Management and a BA in International Business from the University of Oregon Honors College.

 

 

Patrick McShane
Executive VP

Mr. McShane is responsible for the operation and performance of InnSight managed hotels. Key responsibilities include supervision of general managers, and managing owner communication.

Mr. McShane has 30 years experience in the lodging industry. Prior to co-founding InnSight with Mr. Boyles, he was employed by American General Hospitality, as a General Manager. Doubletree Hotels previously employed Mr. McShane in both operational and marketing positions in Seattle and Atlanta.

Prior to Doubletree, he spent eleven years with Hyatt Hotels in various operational and marketing positions for properties in Chicago, Phoenix, Seattle and Lexington, Kentucky.

Mr. McShane received a Bachelor of Science degree from St. Joseph’s College and has completed course work in the Master of Business Administration program at the University of Illinois.

Mr. McShane has served on the Courtyard University Board of Governors.

 


 

Gregory Hoard, CPA, CTP
Controller

Mr. Hoard is responsible for the accounting and financial reporting of all InnSight-managed hotel properties. He brings to InnSight significant experience in the real estate industry, including property acquisition and financing, as well as being skilled in the field of credit and collections. Mr. Hoard has a broad-based business background encompassing the past 25 years.

Mr. Hoard is a Certified Public Accountant as well as a Certified Treasury Professional. He received a BS in Management from Linfield College. He is a member of the Hospitality Financial & Technology Professionals (HFTP), the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Association for Financial Professionals (AFP).


 

Julie Serres
Human Resources Manager

Ms. Serres is responsible for recruitment, hiring, and retention of associates employed at all InnSight hotels. Her primary tasks are managing associate benefits, associate relations, personnel matters, and workers compensation.

Ms. Serres has handled high quantity recruitment/hiring for a diverse business sector for seven years, and has managed daily operations of up to 200 employees at various worksites. She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management.


 

Darren Wilson
Area Manager

Mr. Wilson is the Area Manager, responsible for oversight of the Eugene-Springfield properties. He has been with InnSight since 1998 and has held several General Manager positions.

Mr. Wilson received a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Oregon. He is a Board Member on the Lane County Lodging Association and on the Advisory Committee for the Hospitality Management program at Lane Community College.

 

Timothy Hovet
VP of Development

Mr. Hovet is responsible for the oversight of all new hotel developments from development of all properties including hotel, commercial and residential. Mr. Hovet initiates market driven development projects; identifies, negotiates and acquires properties for development; conducts due diligence; and manages project managers and consultants in the entitlements process. He has developed in excess of $120 million in real estate, including seven hotels.

Mr. Hovet also held the positions of Director of Real Estate Development and Operations Manager for Sycan.

Mr. Hovet received an MBA in Finance from the University of Oregon and a BA in Economics and German from the University of Montana.
